The Flattener
The Flattener is the most powerful multi-disc sander available. Powered by a 230V 3-phase, 3 HP AC induction motor, the Flattener “flattens the competition”. The unit has adjustable speed control at your fingertips with an operating range of 45-165 RPM’s. Add an optional weight kit (up to an additional 40#) and this is the sander that can’t be stopped. Put away your residential machines that disappoint and use a sander that is built from the ground up to do large area floors.

Controls:
The Flattener is controlled by a powerful variable frequency drive that allows an input of 195-260V without a drop in performance. The VFD provides overcurrent protection as well. No expensive capacitors or circuit breakers to worry about. A digital speed control on top of the box allows the operator to create repeatable results with various sanding media. Also available as a single phase input (motor stays the same) as a special order.
The Motor:
A 3HP 3 phase Induction motor provides the ultimate in performance power. This TEFC motor never overheats and never stops. DC motors slow down when they get hot and ultimately fail because of overheating from overuse. This motor has the power to sand an entire court without overheating. The motor has a robust 1.25 service factor, and we warrant it for a full 3 years.
Multi-Disc sanding plate
The sanding plate utilizes 5 rotating H&L pads that take any 6” sanding media. The heavy duty 3/8” thick plate is dead-flat and 50% thicker than the competition. The double sealed ball bearings and proprietary shaft design make maintenance and disassembly a breeze. Available as a separate order item to go on your existing 20” sanders for commonality.
